Turkish Green Building Association has been granted Emerging Member Status with the World Green Building Council (WGBC) on the 28th of September 2009, and continues to develop its substructure through an increasing participation both with other Green Building Councils (GBC’s) in the world and with the local construction sector. Turkish Green Building Association intends to become a “full member council” of the WGBC in the very near future. There are six Established Green Building Councils in Europe; Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom and Romania. Turkey, Italy and Israel are the Green Building Councils in Europe that have an Emerging Member Status.
